Well, it’s all over for the Montreal Canadiens.
They were outclassed in almost every aspect of the series, and in reality did not deserve to win. We so often jump to conclusions, esspecially those who seem to have just jumped on the bandwagon and pick names to blame on the reasons for the loss. However, it was really a team effort. They did not get strong goaltending throughout the seasons although Price was relatively solid throughout the playoffs. He’s a young kid, Gainey describes him as a “thoroughbred” and he’ll be back with a much more experienced body, ready to tackle a new season. Our Power-play was terrible. Quite frankly terrible. Obviously the loss of Markov combined with that of Schneider caused us problems, but still our forwards did not seem much more interested.
There was an aura around our team all season; and it was not a good one. Controversy seemed to follow the team throughout the cenntenial season, starting with of course the Kostitsyn’s as well as Roman Hamrlik being involved with a known cocaine dealer, and the rumours about the nightlife of Carey Price, the team being up for sale, the firing of Guy Carbonneau, these are all things that can take away from a team’s ability to preform.
This is why, in many ways, we as fans are also to blame for the teams ultimate downfall. The die-hard hardcore mentality gets around in a negative way. This is summed up perfectly, in the way the fans reacted at the Bell Centre last night. After a season where almost 100 games are played (pre-season) included, you do not want to hear a crowd boo you after it is finished, this is what happened for a while. Just like, when Carey Price makes a save, you cannot cheer sarcastically. This is why Canadiens have so many issues signing players. The attitude you guys have torwards the team you are “fans” of, is dispicable. You either, cheer or you don’t say anything, you don’t boo your own team. That has no place in our home arena and I personally think it’s disgusting. Carey Price, is 21 years old. You have already chased away 1 hall of fame goalie, do not do it again.

i enjoy how you write this in your blog but say something completely different at school
